I hope you have a fantastic weekend and take some time out to relax. 


Monday is World Down Syndrome Day (21st of March)


  • If you can, please remind your child to bring in a gold coin donation for the day. 
  • We have painted our socks which are drying off over the weekend and will be ready for Monday. 
Homework
  • A lot of students forgot to bring their homework in for marking today. 
  • Please remind them that they need to bring it in every two weeks on a Friday for marking before the new lot is given the following week. 
  • The next time the homework is due is Friday the 1st of April.

Congratulations to Zeph Whitcombe for this week. Fantastic stuff! Keep the great efforts up. 



Character Strength for the Week

Operation Christmas Child / Home Learning

  Hi team, Just a quick blog post regarding 'Operation Christmas Child' and 'Home Learning'. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD You would have received a handout last week explaining the following: All the children in Year Five will soon  participate in  'Operation Christmas Child' which is an initiative with the goal of packing shoeboxes full of little surprises to give to a child who may have never received a gift before. By participating in this, our children will have a first hand experience aimed at building the school value of compassion.  Your child will be grouped with four other children to contribute and pack the shoe box. The cost to send a shoe box will be  $2.50 per child .  We are asking you to encourage your child to do something extra at home to earn the money that is needed to buy the item to put into the provided shoe box. Sugar Overload

Kaya Parents, Sorry to bust in on your weekend... I would like your support with our Sugar Overload project. Please assist your child with going through some pantry items or take them along to Coles on your next shop, so they can read the nutritional panel on packages and record the amount of sugar per 100g serve of the product.   I would like just the data collection done and ready to go by Monday morning. . . handwritten on note paper is fine, the children can tabulate on Word during class time.
