Mission Markets Reward (Year 5) - Friday 22/09/2023 after morning tea. CHARACTER STRENGTH FOCUS: St Martin de Porres faced a lot of discrimination and injustice as a person of colour. He was not even initially allowed into any religious orders because of this. He was patient and kind and lived his life to help others. He saw no task as too small or beneath him and treated others with kindness and respect regardless of how they may have treated him.   Kaya Parents, How did we get to Week 8 so fast? Here is some info on current happenings in the classroom and at school. BOOK CLUB / Novel Study Book Club will begin next week, with all students receiving a new novel to read for the next 5 weeks.  Every Monday morning, each child will receive a weekly schedule via One Note - Literacy Group Folder.  It would be great if you could have a look at the schedule each week and have your child explain to you what they are required to do to be ready for the 'Book Club Meeting' on Friday morning. As part of their weekly reading log for the next 5 weeks , your child will have to read aloud to a member of the family to have one of the diary logs signed off on (I appreciate your support with this). This would be a great opportunity to have your child give a brief summary (retell the main events) on what has been happening in the story so far. Below are the different roles that your child will focus on over the next 5 weeks. Please note, th
