Term 4 Week 6
Hello everyone and welcome to week 6! I can't believe there is only a month left! Crazy!
VINNIES HAMPER APPEAL
Each year at OLC we take time to be thankful for our blessings and to assist those local people in need by contributing to Christmas Hampers distributed by the St Vincent De Paul Society.
This year boxes will be in the shared work areas of the school and families are invited to contribute specified items.
Please look out for the labelled boxes in the following areas in the next few weeks and give generously to support others in what can be a difficult time of the year.
- K & PP: Christmas goodies, chocolates, bonbons, puddings, decorations, small children's gifts, and stocking stuffers etc. No lollies or candy canes please!
- Years 1, 2 & 3: Pasta sauces, meal kits, rice, biscuits, crackers, sauces, jams, condiments, (basically any non-perishable good food, which can be used beyond Christmas. No baked beans or tinned vegetables please 🙂).
- Year 4, 5 & 6: Toiletries, chocolates, tinned fruit, non-perishable fruit juices, nuts, small gifts, pampering items, gift vouchers (Kmart, coffee, etc).
Thank you for helping to make someone’s Christmas a little more special this year!
CHRISTMAS CONCERT PREPARATIONS
Year 5C students are being asked to dress as cows - white t-shirt with black cut-outs and a headband with cow ears. Mrs King included some images in the newsletter for those needing some inspiration!
Dear Year 5 Parents,
Year 6 Graduation Morning Tea
It is an OLC tradition that current year 5 families help to coordinate, donate and volunteer for the year 6 graduation morning tea. (In return, next years Year 5 group will do the same for our 2024 graduating year 6’s) This year the Year 6 Graduation will be held on the morning of the final Friday of the term, Dec the 8th at approx 11am. At this stage, 250 students, parents and families are expected to attend. RSVP’s to be confirmed.
The school would gratefully appreciate a minimum $10 donation or a generous plate of food to contribute to the morning tea and purchase of a celebratory cake for the Year 6’s. Food donations can be delivered to the canteen on the morning of the 8th and can be reheated in the canteen if required.
Parent volunteers will also be invaluable on the day for set up, food serving and pack down, any time that you can spare will be welcomed and appreciated.
Money donations can be transferred to
Tegan Patterson

ACC 938 992 047
Or sent to class in an enclosed envelope to Mrs Coltrinari & Mr Jones or directly to one of the Year 5 Parent Reps. This will have to be received by Mon 20th of November if possible please.
Your contribution is greatly received and we look forward to making the morning tea an extra special occasion for the Year 6’s and their families. Please let us know if you are able to bring a plate or volunteer at some point on the day.
Thank you & kind regards,
