5L Blog Post Term 1 Week 9

Kaya 5L parents,

It is week 9 & feeling fine!

As some of you are aware I am a mad North Melbourne supporter and am in a VERY good mood after last night. See the picture below of how I feel about it all:

For those who would like to sign up for a membership at North Melbourne please visit the link

https://membership.nmfc.com.au/

Your child will receive straight A's if this occurs. A win, win for both 😊

Ok enough of that, it has just been a very long time since NM has won in the west against Freo.

Quote of the week:

This week I thought a bit of a reflection was needed rather than a quote. Sometimes it is the moments in life that we cannot believe or understand but just knowing that God is by our side makes it all better.

Important Dates & Information:

Looking forward to meeting with you all this week 😀

Please note that the Parent Teacher Interviews are based on a 12-15 minute time restraint. All meetings are back to back so if I run a few minutes over please know that I am doing my best to not talk too much... I know the kids must share that I do not know how to be quiet...

We have been working hard in 5L as it comes to the pointy end of the term. Only 9 more days until holidays where we can all relax for a few weeks.

  • End of Term 1 -Thursday 6th April 2023
  • Some students are coming to school with their laptops on low battery, please try to charge them each night. I do plug them in if they are flat but when 3 students are once need it it can be difficult to complete work
  • Homework is going well, a few students are forgetting but then bring it the next day.
  • Library bags... there are  a number of students who are not bringing their library bags. It is a shame and yes, all students must borrow whether it is chapter books, picture books or magazines.

We have a pretty low key next two weeks which means we will be focused on finishing many exciting projects and topics before the end of the term. 💛

I know it may be a little bit early... but wishing you all a Happy Easter and relaxing holiday.

Thanks a heap for a wonderful term,

Holly 💙
