WOW! We are coming so very close to the end of the term. Can you believe it? 

Just a few notices: 

Busselton Triathlon 

  • If your child is interested in participating, please access the following link to find out more information on how to register; SUNSMART KIDS TRIATHLON - Busselton Festival of Triathlon
  • We had some fantastic triathletes come to our school and speak to the students so I have seen that many are feeling rather inspired. 

Merit Award

  • Congratulations to Scarlett McNeil for this weeks award. Keep up the great work! 

Homework 

  • Just a friendly reminder; please make sure your child is completing their set times tables practice for each week and Reading log. 
  • Next Friday the 1st of April students need to bring their homework books in so that I can check them off.

Operation Christmas Child / Home Learning

  Hi team, Just a quick blog post regarding 'Operation Christmas Child' and 'Home Learning'. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD You would have received a handout last week explaining the following: All the children in Year Five will soon  participate in  'Operation Christmas Child' which is an initiative with the goal of packing shoeboxes full of little surprises to give to a child who may have never received a gift before. By participating in this, our children will have a first hand experience aimed at building the school value of compassion.  Your child will be grouped with four other children to contribute and pack the shoe box. The cost to send a shoe box will be  $2.50 per child .  We are asking you to encourage your child to do something extra at home to earn the money that is needed to buy the item to put into the provided shoe box. Sugar Overload

Kaya Parents, Sorry to bust in on your weekend... I would like your support with our Sugar Overload project. Please assist your child with going through some pantry items or take them along to Coles on your next shop, so they can read the nutritional panel on packages and record the amount of sugar per 100g serve of the product.   I would like just the data collection done and ready to go by Monday morning. . . handwritten on note paper is fine, the children can tabulate on Word during class time.
